Hellgate Interface

HellgateLondon.de: Hier Hellgate London inklusive Community

Hellgate: London uses a first-person perspective, and the minimilistic displays and gun barrels envoke comparisons to FPS genre interfaces. However, Hellgate's interface has RPG twists as well. It features iconic displays for actions bound to each mouse button, and generally follows the "point and attack" combat style. Most weapon impacts trigger area damage effects and therefore never demand headshot-perfect accuracy (pointedly, there's no locational damage, just hits and misses).

Flagship has been experimenting with third-person views for melee combat, but that is still a focus of development.

The controls are intuitive to anyone who's played first-person games on the PC: running, strafing, jumping, firing... it all feels natural.

The mouse buttons are configurable by simply dragging weapons or skills from the inventory menu.

Ala RPG games, there is a paper doll of your character where you can tweak your weapons, skills, and armor. Action like a FPS, but character development like a RPG!
